Tanzania Aquaculture Stakeholder Meeting – Golden Tulip Hotel, Dar es Salaam, Tuesday 3 July 2018
Aquaculture Association of Tanzania-AAT, Government of Tanzania – Department of Aquaculture, Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries and Msingi East Africa invited participants from relevant government departments, aquaculture private actors, industry suppliers and service providers.
The meeting was to enable the nascent aquaculture industry critically review its current status and growth prospects against current and emerging challenges including growing imports from Asia, supply of quality inputs and services, threat of pollution and climate change, unfavorable regulations etc.
The one day meeting conclude with signing of resolution and drafting of high-level industry development roadmap that will be variously shared with and presented to relevant departments of the Government of Tanzania, development partners, and private sector actors for specific action and information.
